Father started with this interest in cactus in 1956. He obtained his first specimen by working at old brothers Mr Vencl and Mr Jelínek from Liberec. He was in touch with Mr Vojta from Pardubice. Subsequently the collection has spread till the size of 100m2. As I have grown in this neighbourhood, this floricultural passion has also transferred to me. On this account I graduated at Secondary garden school to extend my scopes.

In 1990s we started to build a new greenhouse with the size of 400m2. Our collection does not have any clear-cup specialisation. We grow cactuses and succulents and we are interested in plants CITES. We prefer Sclerocactus, Turbinicarpus, Uebelmannia, Ariocarpus, Lophophora, and Gymnocalycium. etc, and from succulents Pachypodium, Euforbia, Ficus, Adenium, Cycas etc. Our collection contains more than 4000 species of plants.

From 90% the majority of the plants are grown from the seeds taking from Czech cactus growers, from the renowned foreign firms and from the original habitats.

Visitors can see the collection from 1th May to 15th October. At the same time visitors can buy grown plants. Visitors are whenever welcome but it is worth prearranging the visit in writing or by telephone because of the unforeseen events. Communication with foreign customers is welcome in writing or by e-mail in Czech or English language.

We prefer personal taking of the plants but it is also possible to order it by post. Sending of the plants by post for foreign customers is possible after previous agreement concerning the price and the amount. At the moment we send plants to the EU states. For other states export permission is needed, which is linked with higher financial expenses and longer time to carry out. For this reason we send plants to these states only after previous writing confirmation.

We are able to take in 40 visitors maximum (one bus) but smaller groups are more welcome.
